THE BAND

Bringing the fun of an East Coast kitchen party to the stages of London Ontario since 2014, Trusty Fox boasts catchy songs (Whiskey and Beer) and high energy shows that invite audience members to sing and dance along until last call is long over. When it’s time to rest your dancing feet, songs such as Isabelle will bring an sentimental twist to the night as emotional lyrics and tender melodies tug at your heartstrings.

Performing a style of music deeply rooted in the values of family and friends, Trusty Fox organically sprang out of the life long friendship of Matt Martin and Brian Kijewski, who have known each other since kindergarten. With Kijewski on guitar and Martin as vocalist and guitarist, the two began a musical collaboration in 2014. Drawing upon inspiration from artists such as Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers and Hey Rosetta!, the duo released a self titled EP the following year.

Things took off for Trusty Fox when they became part of the first roster of musicians for the London Arts Council’s “London Arts Live” program in 2016. This opened a doorway for a number of unique performance experiences across their hometown including an intimate performance at their dream venue Aeolian Hall. Other notable performances include being a part of the City of London’s Culture Days and shows at The London Music Club.

With high hopes for a new studio EP, 2018 has seen many exciting changes for Trusty Fox, primarily the addition of Alex Rolston on drums and Sam Downey on bass. With this new line up the group has quickly found a tighter sound and more epic production to new songs and old favourites. In anticipation of future releases the group has planned a slew of upcoming performances which will be announced very soon.

So, come out to your local pub, bring a group of loved ones and enjoy some heartfelt songwriting with a powerful deliverance. Because the only thing better than attending a Trusty Fox concert is enjoying it with close friends and your favourite beer.
